Why Pine IT exists
Pine IT was founded on a simple observation: professional services firms face the same IT security and compliance challenges as Fortune 500 companies, but rarely have access to enterprise-grade solutions that fit their scale and budget.
After leading IT operations at Amazon Canada and Best Buy Canada, our founder Will Sheldon saw firsthand how enterprise governance frameworks protect sensitive data and enable business growth. He recognized that legal, financial, and architecture firms in British Columbia needed the same level of security and operational excellence, but without the enterprise price tag or complexity.
Today, Pine IT brings that standard of IT governance to SMB professional services firms. We implement the same NIST frameworks, SOC2 controls, and security practices used by the world's largest companies, but tailored for the unique needs of smaller professional services teams.
